This is my story:

I created BLEND Training Academy because I want to help others achieve the same as me, I started out in the same mundane jobs we all do in the beginning, I left school at 16 with 0 qualifications and went into the big wide world 🌎 I did a few waitressing jobs and got into the dull world of call centre work, I had my daughter when I was 19 and went straight back to the boring call centre 😖

I wanted something in my life to change but just sucked it up as I had no quals and thought that's what I was just destined for, sat in a chair 9 hours a day, missing out on time with my baby girl for just over minimum wage 🥴

Then one day I came across an AD offering hair extension courses, I booked on, attended and i’ve never looked back, I started off small just doing clients around the call centre and being a mum until I built up enough clients to quit the DREADED call centre.

I then found myself a hairdressing apprenticeship to broaden my hair knowledge and I was able to build up a client base in the salon I worked in, I left after 3 years as it was time for me to go off on my own!

I now work for myself part time, I can do all the school runs and be there for everything, school plays, sports days, I can go on holiday whenever I want there’s no boss to tell me NO!

Not only that I make 5x more 💸 than I ever did at the call centre all while working part time and being present in my home life. 🏡

I now have my own full client base and have recently opened up my own unit and made a cosy little salon in Andover, Hampshire. 🩷

So now what?

I’d achieved all I can achieve client wise as i’m fully booked but I wanted more… I wanted to make my brand bigger..

I want to help people who are in my previous position… I’d looked into training briefly and always put it off but I took the plunge and decided to open my very own Training Academy 👩🏼‍🎓 and that’s how BLEND Hair Extensions & Training Academy became established.

I know how it feels to think there’s no way out of the dull 9-5 loop, hating life because how is it fair you’re stuck at work all day missing out time with your family, slaving away all whilst barely getting by…

I’ve made sure my courses are affordable and open to everybody, whether you’re a complete hair beginner or already have hairdressing knowledge. ✂

You’ll receive support every step of the way through your qualification and even after (which is something I never had😖) Ive learnt all the tricks of the trade myself and have included everything in my training.
